In Hiroshima prefecture is a medium-sized circuit named TS-Takata Circuit. It was opened in 2002 and at that time the length of the course was 1000 meter. Throughout the years several updates have been done to circuit with one of the latest being the increase in total length to 1800 meters in 2013. A lot of grip driving events are being as well as free driving with your own car is possible when there is no event scheduled.
The circuit opens at 8:00 in the morning and closes at 17:00. Driving is possible from 9:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:00. The costs are 7000 Yen for a full day or 4000 Yen for a half day. Both are excluding consumption tax (10%). Generally admission to the circuit is free.
There are clear guidelines described on the website with respect to maximum volume of the car, what to wear, the meanings of flags and how to behave. There is also ranking for fastest times on the different layouts of the circuit listed on the website. On the other side of the road of TS-Takata Circuit, there is another big circuit called Technic Stage Takata, also known as TESTA. This is an off-road driving focused circuit Both these circuits are close to the city of Miyoshi, around 1 hour by car or 2 hour by public transport from Hiroshima city.
