Kagoshima is a major city in the southern tip of Kyushu. The city’s location is in a bay which also hosts the volcano called Sakurajima. Kagoshima city is the main hub for all the ships going to many of the small island south of mainland Japan. Yet there are interesting places to visit in Kagoshima city; an over 300 year old traditional Japanese house with beautiful garden, a magnificent aquarium or Shiroyama Park which gives a great view over the city, bay and volcano in case of good weather.
