Okuibuki Motorpark

High in the mountains northwest of Japan lies Okuibuki Ski Resort but from April until December a part of the parking is used as circuit. It is called Okuibuki Motorpark and is basically a large asphalted area used for drifting and gymkhana.

In order to drive there, it is necessary to join an organised event or hire the location yourself.

In total, there is parking for 2700 vehicles so there are often large events held. For example, Okuibuki Motorpark is home to the Formula Drift series of Japan, concerts and other music festivals.

A 20 kilometer long mountainroad leads up to Okuibuki Motorpark. Close to the entrance, there is also Ibukiyama Driveway, a paid tollroad with beautifull scenic view.

Being in the mountains, public transport is not available. By car it is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes from Nagoya but from a smaller city close by, Maibara, it is 30 minutes driving.
