Nagasaki prefecture is in the south of Japan and its biggest city is identically named Nagasaki. The city is filled with history as it was one of the first international trading posts of Japan and sadly the city also became victim of a destructive bomb attack in Second World War. While a lot of attractions in the city are about this history, there are a lot of other interesting sites to visit as well such as a battleship shaped island that used to be a mining town. Or the use the ropeway that takes you up to Mount Inasayama, where you can enjoy magnificent views of Nagasaki city and its surroundings.
