Kids love it! Adults too. Umaibo, this simple snack can be had in many flavors so there is always one for somebody. It is a cylindrical puffed corn snack that is individually packed in colorful packing. Limited editions as well as regional editions of flavors exist, but some of the common available flavors are as followed:
– Takoyaki

– Cheese
– Vegetable salad
– Teriyaki burger
– Tonkatsu sauce
– Salami
Umaibo are usually available as of 10 yen in the supermarkt, convenience store or 100 yen shop. Big multipacks are also available in a single flavor or even mixed flavors. Due to its low cost and wide variety of flavors, it is a popular snack. It might be possible to find it outside Japan as well.
